In Cairns, you can also check out the biodiversity of the rainforest and waterfalls in the area. Day 1 Cairns
On arrival, you'll be transfered to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure.
Day 2 Cairns - Michaelmas Cay
After an early breakfast this morning, you'll be transfered to Marlin Jetty Cairns. Set sail aboard an award-winning Catamaran to Michaelmas Cay. Michaelmas is a picturesque reef cay where coral gardens abound a myriad of marine life surrounding a protected seabird sanctuary. The tour includes four hours at the reef, a hot and cold buffet lunch, morning and afternoon tea, informative ecological presentations by Marine Biologists, snorkelling demonstrations and equipment, Guided snorkelling and coral viewing tours. Your homeward sail includes live musical entertainment and perhaps a glass of sparkling wine. Return to your hotel late in the afternoon. (Breakfast/ Lunch).
Day 3 Cairns - Kuranda
Enjoy a full breakfast at the hotel this morning before collection by private coach and local guide for your transfer to Tjapukai Cultural Theme Park where you will be transported back to the Dreamtime by myths and legends of the indigenous people of North Queensland. After visiting the History and the Creation Theatres without forgetting the Bush Camp, enjoy a buffet a lunch.
On completion, continue your way to Skyrail Rainforest Cableway to Kuranda. Here you will enjoy the wonders of the rainforest as you glide over the canopy. You will be amazed by the breathtaking views of the Coral Sea and Green Island, which can be seen in the distance. On arrival in Kuranda, there is an opportunity for you to do some of your own exploring, or perhaps you could check out the local markets and village. You will then board of the Kuranda Scenic Gold Class Train where you will enjoy the spectacular views, sip on sparkling wine or a cold beer and savour delicious finger food whilst you journey through 15 hand cut tunnels and passing through spectacular waterfalls to Freshwater station. The trip by train to Kuranda is described by Queensland Railways as a 34 kilometre long picture postcard. It is a route which must rank amongst the world's best short journeys and is a ride which you will always remember. Return to your hotel later this afternoon. (Breakfast/Lunch).
Day 4 Cairns
After breakfast, you'll be transfered to Cairns Airport for your flight. (Breakfast).
