Cairns and the Barrier Reef

Cairns, in Tropical North Queensland, is the perfect place to relax but it also offers the excitement of the Great Barrier reef and the tropical rainforests. There is no better way to experience the natural wonder of the world's largest marine park than from a boat where you can get close up and personal with a diverse range of marine life.  In Cairns, you can also check out the biodiversity of the rainforest and waterfalls in the area.  This is a place of extreme contrasts and beauty with its lava tubes, hidden gorges, contrasting terrain, mining relics, incredible beaches and hot springs.

Cairns is also a place to share in the culture of the original owners of the land. Listen to the stories of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders whose culture has survived 40,000 years.
